What types of women are you looking for to join a new chapter?
We are looking for women who are academically driven, show leadership potential and share values with Phi Mu. We are also looking for women who want to start something new and leave a legacy at Pace University.
Are there leadership opportunities available in a new chapter?
There are immediate opportunities for leadership available in a new chapter. Along with a new chapter executive board, there are also chairwomen positions that range from designing t-shirts to leading philanthropy efforts and everything in between.
I am involved in other student organizations, can I still join and what is the time commitment?
As long as you are not a member of another Panhellenic organization, you are eligible for membership. Members will be responsible for coming to weekly meetings and other important events throughout the semester. However, if it interferes with your schedule, our staff members are more than willing to work with you. We encourage our members to be involved in other organizations on campus!
What is the GPA requirement to join Phi Mu?
Panhellenic at Pace University requires a 2.5 GPA to be eligible for membership. Once established, the new chapter will create chapter bylaws and set a GPA requirement comparable to that of other Panhellenic sororities on campus.
What does the Phi Mu recruitment process look like?

Do I need a letter of recommendation to join?
You do not need a letter of recommendation to be considered for membership.
I am an upperclassman, is it too late for me to join?
It is not too late! We are looking for women of all grade classifications to start our new chapter.
Does signing up for a one-on-one or attending a recruitment event commit me to joining?
Neither attending a one-on-one nor a recruitment event commits you to joining. However, this is a selective process, so not all women who do both of those things will be guarantee membership.
What is the recommended attire for one-on-ones and recruitment events?
Both interviews and recruitment events are laid back, but we recommend business casual.
Should I bring anything with me to my interview?
No, you do not need to bring anything with you to your interview.
